As a luxury travel agent specializing in Mexico destination weddings, I was more than happy to help when Eliza & Connor came to me in their moment of need. You see, when Eliza and Connor first started planning their Mexico destination wedding, they hired a travel agent who didn’t have much experience with destination weddings and didn’t explain the room contracts or communicate promptly.
This left Eliza and Connor worried about their wedding plans, and the worst-case scenario happened: the original resort reservations fell through. Because rooms were not booked in advance, the price skyrocketed and left Eliza, Connor, and their guests struggling to find a place to stay.
Luckily, they found Bridie Travel! In no time, I had teamed up with my business-bestie Dana Lewis at DWD Travel. We compiled a list of resorts that were similar to their first choice, but at a better price point for their guests. Unsurprisingly, the couple chose the award-winning Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres resort!
I handled all of the travel details (including extra stays at the resort when flights got rearranged due to storms) and Dana designed and planned a show-stopping wedding for these two! Together, we made all of Eliza and Connor’s destination wedding dreams come true.
Ballroom Terrace Wedding Ceremony Overlooking the Beach at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres
Eliza and Connor had a very specific vision for their Mexico destination wedding. They knew they wanted an elevated experience that felt adult-only but didn’t exclude children. They also wanted a clean, beach-side ceremony with a sky terrace or beach gazebo that could accommodate their 100 guests.
Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres had everything they wanted (and more)! When rain was on the horizon the morning of their wedding, Eliza and Connor made a last-minute decision to move their ceremony from the beach to Majestic Elegance Costa Muheres’ Ballroom Terrace.
This ended up being a perfect setup. The ballroom terrace covered all of their guests from the rain, but still allowed the wedding to be outside and within view of the ocean! Within hours, the rain had cleared up and allowed Eliza and Connor to get perfect wedding photos on the beautiful white sand beaches around the resort.
Mexico Destination Wedding Reception at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres Sky Lounge
Another non-negotiable for Eliza and Connor’s destination wedding was the food. They told me that wherever they stayed needed to have good food. This spoke directly to my foodie’s heart, and we arranged for a delicious reception dinner at the Sky Lounge!
After dinner and toasts, the dance floor opened up. Eliza, Connor, and their guests danced the night away. The Sky Lounge allowed them to party all night with their own private pool deck decorated with string lights and palm trees with a view of the beautiful blue Caribbean ocean.
